Christhurch PART 1: The beautiful Garden City

So I went to Christchurch for a short break.

We hadn't really been back to Christchurch for 5 years except for those transits or one-day business trips that didn't really offer much time to enjoy this beautiful city. It was a 3-day break, so we took this opportunity driving around, taking photos.

Christchurch has changed a great deal with some shopping malls undergone an almost complete facelift, and some infrastructure make-overs. We revisited places we had lived and areas that we frequented during our naive campus lives, feeling all nostalgic about it. Through out my 5 years campus life here, a lot of stories started in this place, and some ended here. There were laughters, there were tears. It is here that Rick and I first met, started our story....and it is also here that we said our goodbye putting an end to that story...and now, we are here, hand-in-hand reminiscing about the past. It's funny how life has turned out to be! (^_^)

ANYWAY! Enough for the nostalgic talk. How about walking down the memory lane with me aye? Photos time that is!

Warning: lots of camwhoring pics ahead!

We then drove pass this house that caught my attention. It looks just like an giant popsicle. Citrus flavour! Aiyo, so yum especially on this hot sunny day. *slurp*

Kew Gardens? Must be very beautiful. I've never been to London (-_-). One day lah. Hehehe

Yeah agree! It is a very peaceful place, and very slow pace too. Everyone takes their time in doing things, very relax.

eastcoastlife:
Christchurch to me is the most beautiful city in New Zealand especially in Spring and Autumn. The scenery will take your breath away!

Eh, you still need to work out meh? You already so slim liao. The clothes you wear always so cool and young looking. Good example for me to follow. hehehe

Yep, especially during spring and summer. Must spend more time outdoor! (^_^)

u.lee:
Hello uncle lee. Yeah, no white christmas here but warm and sunny one, and dead quiet two. Wellington turns into a dead town during Christmas, everyone away on holiday!

The "Last Samurai" was filmed in a town called New Pymouth. You know the Mt Fuji in the film right, it is actually called Mt Taranaki, located in New Pymouth! I went there a year ago, and there was no sight of the village/Japanese house. Either they've been taken down or I went to the wrong spot! Hehehe

eastcoastlife:
MTV? Wah~~that too advance and me an IT idiot dunno how leh.

kenneth:
Welcome to my humble blog Kenneth! And thanks for your kind words. (^_^)
