House decor progress

I have been busy with the house decoration (what else right?). The look will be classic with a bit of modern elements into it. Colour theme is natural earth tone. I think the classic look would match well with the exterior appearance.

The challenge for me is trying to marry every single piece together virtually, in my mind. The endless selection available on market makes it even harder. You know, it’s like you have set your mind on this, then suddenly you like those, and then these, and those and these…….“Urggh, stop switching, make up your mind!” Frustrating!

Anyway, I now have a fairly good idea of what goes where. Here are a peek to pieces that I have picked up for the house so far….let’s just hope that they would marry well when put together just like how I imagine it to be.

I have been (still am) struggling with the same frustration! I think I'm slowly getting the trick of it - get the main piece of furniture for the room first (eg. bed for the bedroom, sofa for the lounge, dining table for the dining area, etc) and then start working around them by incorporating the smaller pieces to match the theme.

Easier said than done though. Which is exactly why we've moved in for 6 months and the house is still not fully furnished yet. Hope you're more efficient than me, hun. Good luck! :)

Ya, agree with MisSmall. The big ones first. We're only starting to buy the smaller pieces now :P. Haha...cant wait to see some photos from you :).

MisSmall:
Agree and those big pieces were first on my list. They are arriving tomorrow!

emotionalistic:
The situation gets complicated when there are BIG sales everywhere on those smaller pieces. LOL
