Homesick, end of first quarter and daylight saving

Finally got hold on my brother who is currently enjoying his long 4 weeks holiday in Singapore. My parents are there too, enjoying shopping, food and all *envy*. Bro's home in Singapore no longer has phone and internet and I only have his old expired singapore mobile number. I somehow forgot to get their contact details in Singapore before they left so was having a bit of difficulty hunting them down. Lucky that I bummed into him (in msn) last night while he was internet-ing in McD. Now, got his and my dad's number.

When I rang dad, he has just arrived into Singapore from Kuching. He sounded so energetic and happy. So many things to say like that *LOL* comparing to few weeks ago I called him when he was alone in Kuching (my mum was still in Perth with my bro). He was missing my mum. Now that mum and dad have reunited, he is again a very happy man! *LOL* I hope Rick and I would be as loving as them after 37 years of marriage. I know we will!

Anyway, quarter of the year has passed by. Fast isn't it? I was like blur blur sit here do nothing then 3 months gone already. Reviewing the 1st quarter of the year, I have

...completed 3 road trips
...sorted out my up coming trips
...planted my lavenders
...found myself a new range of skincare/haircare
...bought a Kathmandu down jacket that I had always wanted
...sold out a few unwanted clothes/accessories, and
...cried like no tomorrow (Drama - Starlit) LOL

Not bad I thought. I could have done more but hey life is not about pushing/rushing yourself like hell. It is important to slow down and enjoy the essence of it, yes?

On a side note,

Daylight saving has just started. We are now back 1 hour. This is always a love-hate feeling for me. I like the fact that it feels like (and it actually is) we have gained an extra hour on that one day but the aftermath is quite hard to bear. I now feel hungry an hour earlier, and I have to starve for another hour before I could have my breakfast/lunch/dinner. This probably goes on for a week before my biological clock adjusts itself. I really hate being starved, I get grumpy. I could have resorted to biscuits/snacks in between, but then the effect will be disastrous (i.e. gaining weight) if this turns into a habit, especially now that winter is just around the corner. What is the point of having this daylight saving since it is only like ONE hour difference anyway? Duh!

I notice the sun rise earlier these few weeks here and the day seems to be so long, 7pm still quite bright compared to normal day. LOL. Should we have daylight savings here as well? :P

I miss Singapore (especially christmas time). I rather I can gain one more extra hour on night for weekday so I can sleep one more hour extra and daylight saving on weekend so I got extra an hour to relax....:P So greedy am I

Hi Doreen, wow, you only just got back into the daylight saving time?
We last month. Now exactly 12 hours behind Malaysia. Not sure about NZ.

Re your dad missing your mom, I guess once we reach a certain milestone, we men do, or women.
I miss my wife everyday she at work...feels house so empty, especially she loves to hum while in the kitchen.
You keep and have fun, best regards, Lee.

Haha, good idea! But if it is only like an hour difference I think really no point. More hassles only.

Hahaha, true, but then I also need to include others that I've met/known....gosh, that will be a looooong list loh. Hahaha

jezalmy:
Yeah, same here. But that also means you will lose 1 hour when the daylight saving ends. Hehehe

mistipurple:
Exactly my thought! If we don't stop and enjoy, then we will be missing out a lot of moments.

Thanks. Hope you had a good long weekend too.

Uncle Lee:
12 hours behind Malaysia. We are now 4 hours ahead of Malaysia. So that means, we are 16 hours ahead of Canada!!! Wow!
